FLM Loans (2 mths ago)
All of our loans need a guarantor but before you give up on this money, make sure you have read through this Q&A section. You may find that we've suggested a way of locating a guarantor that you haven't thought of yet.
I tell all our customers who are finding it difficult, start with the basics. Just write down all the people you know that own a home. Then narrow it down by highlighting all the people that trust you will pay this loan back. Then it's just a case of getting yourself ready to ask them.
These two pages should be able to help:

Hi pawan, Even though we are a guarantor based option we are still an unsecured lender. This is beacuse we do not secure the loan against the property.
Use the links i put in my last response so that you can try and get yourself a guarantor.

i dont have anyone how can be my garantor is there any way i can still get the loand sending you my wage slips or somthing else
FLM Loans (1 year ago)
No I'm afraid not. We're not able to give any loans without the applicant providing a guarantor.
rose21 (1 year ago)
I received a call earlier that i should find a garantor but the one person i have is not a home owner what should i do next
FLM Loans (1 year ago)
We do need you to provide a guarantor that is a homeowner or paying towards a mortgage. We can't get round this fact, regardless of how much income they have or how good their credit is.
Use the answer centre to find some tips on how to find a guarantor.

Hi Jon
It is quite difficult these days to find someone who is known to me that does not have some kind of bad credit rating after the recession. I have abrother who is a home owner and if I could I would prefer to use him, but I am not sure if his rating is good.
FLM Loans (1 year ago)
We understand it's difficult to find credit in these hard times, but that's what we're here for. All we aks is that customer's can provide a guarantor that is a UK homeowner, has good credit and earns over £800 a month. By all means try your brother, but if he does have any missed payments or defaults, he will be declined. Check with your brother whether he has missed any payments or has any bad debt. It's worth spending some time finding a back-up option in the meantime.
mike 27 (1 year ago)
Hi Jon, I now have a gaurantor ( brother ) who is very willing to help..He will give full details to you, except BANK DETAILS..He lives in DORSET and is an owner of several care homes..He is good as a gaurantor, but will not hand over his personal details...CAN I STILL CONTINUE WITH MY APPLICATION ?????
FLM Loans (1 year ago)
We will need their bank details, you can either enter them online or your caseworker will call and confirm them. We have to have their account details because the loan is paid into their account, for them to then transfer to you. This is done for your protection from fraud, and again, has to happen.

I do not know anyone in the UK that is a home owner or pays mortgages. Can I use my husband as a guarantor?
FLM Loans (1 year ago)
If you and your husband are homeowners, then yes you can. Bare in mind though, as you're shared owners you will both need to have a good credit history to be accepted.
John (1 year ago)
I have been unsucessful in obtaining a guarantor because of the small print on the guarantors part of the form says that they became libiable for my loan, and if I miss a payment they have to pay the missed payment and also incur the charges as well. Also 3.1 That interest will be calculated on a daily balance outstanding .9.1 That you may debit my account with reasonable charges.
FLM Loans (1 year ago)
We make the terms and conditions as clear and easy to understand as possible. The whole role of the guarantor is to cover the repayment should anything happen to you, we don't hide away from this fact.
If you miss a payment you're going against the agreement that you make with us. At this point we're well within our rights to try and get the money we're owed. Charges won't be applied as long as you make the payment on the day you promised to.

hi thank you for your help but i cant get a garantor the only person i have does not own his home as he lives with me he is my son but thank you anyway but i just needed a small loan of 250 thats all
FLM Loans (1 year ago)
If you want a loan for £500-£3000 then you will need to provide us with a UK homeowner guarantor. However, as you only want £250 we can point you in the direction of our sister company, FLM Quick. They offer between £50-£500 and also need a guarantor, but because of the small loan amount, they can accept guarantor's that aren't homeowners. You can apply with them by going to www.flmquickloans.co.uk
lady p (1 year ago)
can you let me know, if my guarantor is using their overdraft will they be excepted.. they are a homeowner and has been with their current employers for many years
FLM Loans (1 year ago)
It doesn't matter if your guarantor is in their overdraft. We look at their income and their credit history. If they've gone over the overdraft they may have a negative mark against their name. It's worth checking with them before you send back the form.

i am finding it hard to find a guarantor . a family member of mine is married but doesnt have her name on the morgage is it still possible for her to be a guarantor?.
FLM Loans (1 year ago)
Part of our main criteria is that all of our Guarantors have to be a UK homeowner, they either need to be on a mortgage or own the house outright. If you are having problems click the "Guarantor Help Page" at the top of this page.

i got this loan through a company called loan and go and they never said or even hinted that i had to have a guarantor i have asked the only 2 home owners that i know and they both said that they are unable to do so because of there own finances is there another way i could get this loan?
FLM Loans (1 year ago)
The company that you mention is actually a brokerage company. They and many others try and find people the best loan option based on your current circumstances. They will search all different types of loans to find you the best one. They may not have mentioned it when you spoke to them, but it turned out that a guarantor option was the best one for yourself.
James 1982 (11 mths ago)
My name is james i have had a letter this morning saying i need a grantor i got someone who will do this for me but they don't have they don't own there own house but they do get a good monthly income is there anything u can do for me?
FLM Loans (11 mths ago)
Hi James,
Your guarantor must be a UK Homeowner to stand as guarantor as all the criteria must be met to be a suitable guarantor.
Ian67 (11 mths ago)
If the loan amount was lower, could you accept my original guarantor?
FLM Loans (11 mths ago)
Hi there,
Your guarantor has to be accepted based on the criteria, the amount of money you apply for doesn't affect this. If we have already said that your guarantor doesn't quite meet our criteria then we wouldn't be able to accept them for whatever amount you apply for.
Hope this helps
robert (11 mths ago)
i was ok for a loan but my garantor pulled out at last moment, you asked me to asked to get in touch at flmloans.co.uk. what do ido next.
robert
FLM Loans (11 mths ago)
I'm sorry to hear that your guarantor has pulled out. In order for us to continue with your loan application you would need to find another guarantor who meets our criteria so we can get your loan paid out as soon as possible.
When you find someone else you need to get them to fill in their details online and get them to sign a new form.
Hope this helps
kezza (11 mths ago)
i am currently a customer of yours i had a £2000 loan and my sister is my guarantor i recently applied for a top up to £5000 but was told i would need to find another guarantor why ?
FLM Loans (11 mths ago)
Hi there,
It's likely that if your current guarantor was turned down for a top up loan because her circumstances have changed, of course we have to complete all the necessary checks again to make sure they're still suitable. Of course if it turns out that they aren't suitable for a new loan they will still remain your guarantor on your current loan.
Thanks
naomi (11 mths ago)
can the guarantor live abroad?
FLM Loans (11 mths ago)
Your guarantor must be a UK homeowner. If they are a homeowner abroad then we would not be able to accept them.
bisan bahadur gurung (11 mths ago)
hi jon...i dont have my garantor . so what i need do pls .....
FLM Loans (11 mths ago)
If you're unable to find a guarantor we won't be able to help you unfortunately. All of our loans require a guarantor. If you're having trouble thinking of family and friends who can help, what about co-workers or neighbours?
genvi07 (10 mths ago)
Hi there,
Ive got a loan approved but i can't find a guarantor and i've got a closed friend that she wants to stand me for this loan. She've got a good credit scoring. But she is also planning to apply a loan on your company and i will be her guarantor,is this case can be accepted?
FLM Loans (10 mths ago)
Hi there,
If your close friend meets all of our criteria and is happy to be your guarantor, then that's great. However if she's your guarantor and you have your loan paid out then she wouldn't then be able to apply for her own loan. (Technically thats like having two loans at the same time)
DJD1971 (10 mths ago)
I haven't as yet got a garantor but I'm trying, could you please carry on with my loan application, please!! Plus you got the money paid definately as i'm receiving Disability Living and will be in receipt of this for the rest of my life, so my debt money will be taken from this the day I receive it without me seeing it go out of my account and I'm now with Think Banking so they manage my Direct Debits and Standing orders so everything is managed for me without me to worry about such payments, okay!
FLM Loans (10 mths ago)
I appreciate everything you're saying here, but we're a guarantor loan company and It's part of our criteria to have a guarantor. Unfortunately if you can't find one we wouldn't be able to process an application.
emily (10 mths ago)
Hello my freind is a honeowner yet was declined?! Also my step father lives in jersey could he still be my garuanator?
FLM Loans (10 mths ago)
Your guarantor must meet all the criteria, not just the homeowner part. If we weren't able to accept them then there must have been another part of the criteria they didn't meet. Also we only lend to those within the United Kingdom, we can't lend to someone who s a homeowner outside the UK.
j williams (9 mths ago)
I am a home owner and dont know anyone who would be gaurantor for me, i have been accepted for a loan what do i do mow? Except decline your loan offer and seek elsewhere.
FLM Loans (9 mths ago)
In order for us to be able to accept you for a loan, you need to be able to provide a guarantor who meets our criteria. If you can't find anyone at the moment, then you can keep your paperwork until you can find someone and apply in future.
kit123 (6 mths ago)
hi jon
i have a guarntor but they want to use my bank details is that ok? my mum is funny about giving bank details but is prepared to pay money into my account.
FLM Loans (6 mths ago)
It's great that your mum is prepared to help you out if you need it, but I'm afraid we need separate bank details for you and your guarantor. We need your guarantor's bank details so that if there is ever a problem with you making a payment we will be able to take it from your guarantor to ensure you don't fall into arrears and make your situation worse. We would never set up a direct debit with your guarantor without them knowing first.
Hope this helps
paul (5 mths ago)
hi i have found a guarantor that is a home owner but doesnt pay morgage as owns home outright could i still continue with my loan application ?
FLM Loans (5 mths ago)
Hi Paul,
Yes, as long as their name shows up on the land registry for the property and meet all of our other criteria they should be fine :)
skaylingkhim (4 mths ago)
hi there I haven't got any guarantor as the one who was supposed to be my guarantor was declined. Will I be charged interest money every month since i haven't got the money??
I mean will I still have to pay you monthly interest and sum as I have applied for a loan for £500 but was not able to get it because of no guarantor.
FLM Loans (4 mths ago)
The loan has not been paid out as you have not supplied a suitable guarantor. As the loan has not been paid out yet, you do not have a legal obligation to make the repayments.
Once you and your guarantor have signed the agreement, we will call you both to arrange payout of the loan. At this point we agree your monthly repayments and set up a direct debit for the monthly repayments. Once the loan is paid out and a repayment date agreed, then you will be responsible for the loan, the interest and repayments agreed.
However, just to confirm, as you have not reached this stage in the agreement the loan has not been paid out and you are not obliged to make any repayments to us.
