why have i been charged 29p for the privilige of being a guarantor? and it not being refunded Not the amount of money more the principle!

FLM Loans (5 mths ago)

The 29p is taken to ensure that your account can take the type of transaction we make when the money is paid out and to check that the account is active. The last thing we want is the funds floating around in limbo. FLM want our customer's to get their loan as smoothly and quickly as possible.

This 29p can be refunded or you can retain this amount from the loan, before you transfer it to the applicant. If you would like a refund, just let your FLM caseworker know and they'll get this arranged.

is that done by direct debit or do you take it from the card?

The 29p charge will be taken from your guarantor's debit card.
