Does it matter if my guarantor is not living at their property?

Hi i would like to know what happens if my guarantor is a homeowner but is not staying at the property. This guarantor is renting out the property and staying elsewhere. So which address do they submit?

You can use a guarantor that is not living at the property they own. The important thing is that they do currently own a UK property. Ask the guarantor to submit the address they live at. That way we can send them any important mail they'll need to receive.

When your caseworker calls you (which they'll do within 2-3 days of us getting your forms back) make sure you give them the address that your guarantor owns. We use this address to prove they own the home, so please dont forget to give it to your caseworker.

When you get assigned a caseworker they will do a credit check on the address provided online. If they cannot see them as the owner of that property they will get in contact with either yourself or your guarantor to confirm what address is owned.

We are currently in the process of modifying our application page to allow new customers to simply put in address of the property owned.
