What proof does my guarantor need to send?

All being well, your guarantor shouldn't need to send us any proof. We can check their identity and homeownership using a system we have. We do sometimes run into problems though if the guarantor has paid off their mortgage. We check they own their home by looking for regular monthly mortgage payments made from their bank account. If it's paid off they wont have this. In which case we will require of proof of ownership, something like a copy of the deeds or a letter from the bank/solicitor/mortgage company that dealt with the purchase.

For the time being though you wont have to worry about any of this. Just make sure they fit the criteria required and get the signed forms back to us. Here's a reminder of the criteria.
