Why does the guarantor have to be contacted directly?

Why guarantor has to contacted directly after all paper work done, if i have provided all information needed, he signed the papers for me and everything is ok, why you have to call them?

We call your guarantor directly before we payout the loan as a final check that they're happy to stand for you. When your caseworker calls you and your guarantor, they will ask you to confirm that you agree to the terms and conditions.
It'll only take a couple of minutes though; it's nothing to worry about. Once this 'Verbal contract' has been done, it'll only take another 24 hours or so to get the money paid out.

Your caseworker will need to speak to your guarantor before the loan is paid out, so if you know they're going to out of the country, you can help fast track the payout process by giving the caseworker the contact number for the guarantor, wherever they are.

i have recently applied for a loan and have sent relevant documents back today, but my guarantor is due to fly out of the country tomorrow and im questioning what to do now, should i get a number for overseas?
